You can learn about installing SpreadsheetGear Engine for .NET here and SpreadsheetGear for Windows here.

SpreadsheetGear 2023 installation requires administrative privileges.

SpreadsheetGear 2023 for .NET Framework requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 or .NET Framework 4.6.2+. SpreadsheetGear 2023 WPF controls and multithreaded recalc require .NET Framework 4.6.2+.

SpreadsheetGear 2023 for .NET supports x86 and x64 versions of Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2012 (including R2), Windows Server 2016 (including R2), Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022.

SpreadsheetGear 2023 works best with Microsoft Visual Studio 2012, Visual Studio 2013, Visual Studio 2015, Visual Studio 2017, Visual Studio 2019 and Visual Studio 2022. Visual Studio is not a requirement.

SpreadsheetGear 2023 may be installed and used on computers with previous versions of SpreadsheetGear for .NET (such as SpreadsheetGear 2012 or SpreadsheetGear 2017). However, it is not possible to use two versions of SpreadsheetGear in a single .NET application.

For the most trouble free installation experience, please remove previously installed versions of SpreadsheetGear 2023 before installation. The SpreadsheetGear 2023 installers will attempt to update any previous installations of SpreadsheetGear 2023, but this will not always work, particularly if the previous SpreadsheetGear 2023 installation has been installed from a network drive or from the Internet.

Please close all running instances of Visual Studio while installing SpreadsheetGear 2023.

The installer attempts to register the applicable WorkbookView and FormulaBar Windows Forms and WPF controls with Visual Studio.

The older Express versions of Visual Studio do not support the APIs used by SpreadsheetGear 2023 for this registration process, so you must manually register the WorkbookView and FormulaBar controls.
